Scotland is world renowned as the home of Hogmanay, celebrated on 31 December. Fire festivals, torchlight processions, street parties, live music and fireworks, Scotland really is the best place in the world to see in the NewYear. Edinburgh´s Hogmanay will run from 30th Dec 2014 - 1st Jan 2015.
The three day Edinburgh´s Hogmanay Festival, produced on behalf of the City of Edinburgh Council, kicked off with the hugely popular Torchlight Procession which was supported by EventScotland. A complete sell out for the last few years, this event attracted over 30,000 participants and 8,000 torchbearers in the procession which winded through the city centre from George IV Bridge to the finale at Calton Hill as well as Waterloo Place where they had additional entertainment. This year access to Calton Hill was exclusively available for torchbearers and their accompanying friends and family

Last year´s event welcomed over 35,000 participants and spectators, joining the Up Helly Aa´ Vikings, massed pipes & drums and thousands of torch carriers as they illuminate the city from our start position on George IV Bridge to the finale viewing areas at Waterloo Place and Calton Hill. The Torchlight Procession fireworks finale can be viewed across the city and beyond
