MISSION ON XYLELLA FASTIDIOSA IN PROPIANO CORSICA ISLAND BY LABORATORIES

USPA NEWS - The ministry of agriculture, food and forestry, was informed in late afternoon by the national reference laboratory typing the first analyses of the bacterium Xylella Fastidiosa detected in Corsica on polygales sheet myrtle.

The bacteria present in samples Propriano region belongs to the multiplex subspecies, totally different from the subspecies pauca identified in Italy. All other withdrawals on plants, with or without symptoms, found around the first infected plant, resulted in negative results to date.
